Il 23 Ottobre 2010, al Festival cinematografico “imagineNATIVE 2010” di Toronto (Canada),
c’è stata la prima mondiale del nuovo documentario dell'Isuma Produtions:
"Qapirangajuq: Inuit la conoscenza e cambiamento climatico."
Il regista Zacharias Kunuk (Atanarjuat The Fast Runner) e il ricercatore e regista Dr. Ian Mauro (Seeds of Change) hanno documentato le esperienze e le conoscenze della comunità Inuit in materia di cambiamento climatico. Gli Inuit sono gli esperti nelle loro terre e della fauna selvatica che vi vive, il film rende evidente che il cambiamento climatico è un problema dei diritti umani riguardanti indigenous culture. Thanks to the story of elderly Inuit hunters, the film explores the social and ecological changes due to warming of the Arctic. The film helps to appreciate the Inuit culture and knowledge with regard to environmental changes and how indigenous to adapt to it. This new documentary, which lasts 54 minutes, is the first film in the Inuktitut language issue.
